Heat Sink with I7 Processor? Heat Sink with I7 Processor?

I'm a computer newb, so... here goes

---

I'm in the process of uprading my set-up, and I'm going to be running my new system using the following:

Intel Core i7-3820 Sandy Bridge-E 3.6GHz (3.8GHz Turbo Boost) LGA 2011 130W Quad-Core Desktop Processor BX80619i73820

GIGABYTE GA-X79-UD3 LGA 2011 Intel X79 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard

---

However, I've been told that the processor doesn't come with a Heatsink (whatever that is...) and that I'll need one. Unfortunately, I'm in Argentina and there is no time to get the individual who is bringing the processor a heat sink off the internet.

So my questions are:

do I need a heat sink to run this?

is there a heat sink that is older and likely to be available down here that is going to be compatable with the 2100 socket that has caused me a number of compatability problems between the motherboard and CPU?

My first shot at trying to find one of these down here yielded this:

I'm sure it's overpriced, but if it's compatable and would make things work, I'd be happy to go for it.

You absolutely need a heatsink for any CPU.

I would buy it from Amazon. These should be eligible for international shipping to Latin America.
