Getting an email client to "batch save" attachments from multiple msgs

FWIW, I use Thunderbird as my email client, but would happily switch if it meant finding a solution to this maddening problem. In short, I subscribe to a datamining service that sends me HH files (compressed as a .rar file). The problem is that it sends me ONE email for every single stakes...and because I subscribe to around 8 different stakes, I'm getting 8 emails every day (with a single .rar file attached to each one).
What i WANT to be able to do is to just tell Thunderbird to save ALL of the attachments into a folder I specify. But try as i might, I can't figure out how the hell to tell it to do that. I thought maybe by highlighting all of the emails with attachments, I might then be able to right-click and say "save all attachments" or something, but there's no such option. So for months now, I've been stuck opening each email one by one, and saving the attachment, a process that takes AGES.
This issue has perplexed me, and cost me so many damn hours...i'm begging for a solution here.

Thanks very much - i heard that there was some sort of extension that was made for this, but couldn't find it.
