Hey guys,

I was wondering if it's possible for me to be running 2 monitors on my setup. If so, do I have anything special to do ? It seems like my computer is detecting it, but second monitor says ''check signal cable''. I have 2 DVI ports in the back of my tower.

Here are my comp specs :Operating System

CPU
Intel Core i5 2500K @ 3.30GHz 36 °C
Sandy Bridge 32nm Technology
RAM

Motherboard
Intel Corporation DQ67SW (SKTH) 29 °C
Graphics

Intel(R) HD Graphics 3000
Hard Drives

Optical Drives

Thanks for your help !

Your motherboard should support up to 2 displays, as you've said that your PC detects the connection than I assume that the monitor you are trying to connect has an incorrect (not supported) resolution preset. try changing it and see the outcome.

I tried all the different resolutions in the screen resolutions and graphic proprieties intel menu... but nothing changes, I still get that ''check signal cable'' box

Anything else I could try ?

Can you manually select the input singal on your monitor? Some monitors don't auto-detect the signal. If that doesn't help, plug your monitor to the working output and see if it recognizes that. You then know if the fault is on the monitors or on the computers side. If it works, swap the cables. If both cables work but the 2nd output still doesn't, it's probably time to buy a video card. Any cheap card with 2 outputs will be fine.
