Do I need Genuine OS for Poker ?

Hi,
I have Win 7 ultimate (not genuine) . I have bought HEM2 and have some bugs in it now. HEM2 support guy came through team viewer to fix the bugs and told me that he can't do anything if the OS is not updatable . He told me he needed to update .net and told me to call him back after buying a genuine OS .

Do all poker players have genuine OS ? Win 7 ultimate is ~150-200$ in India, where I live and no one buys OS here.
Also will not having a genuine OS increase the chance of my setting getting affected by viruses / hacked ? I have bought Kaspersky Internet security 2013.

If you have dozens thousands of dollars online in sites like Neteller, MB ,etc its better to be safe and have a genuine windows so you can update it for additional security

why would it cost that much? Just buy it online, also why do you need the ultimate edition?

I've seen people say buy them cheap off ebay. How does this work exactly? Where are the codes people are selling from?

daddy - pay for your software, most likely that means not getting it off of ebay.
