well, do you have a anti-virus installed in your system, as you say it's some thing similar to Trojans, which cause computer to hang or slows down.
Reboot in safe mode and try to restore the system to the well working date known. If you still face the problem than you need to take the help for
virus removal tool to fix your issue.
