I've had this computer for a little over a year, built it myself, pretty solid machine. Except about a week ago it started freezing/crashing anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours after startup. Sometimes the crashes result in BSODs. It's crashed both while just browsing the internet and also while playing video games.

A few times after crashing the computer took much longer to start back up than it normally would, and once or twice it froze on the startup splash screen for my motherboard. Once after crash it never booted up - the fans were running and presumably so was the rest of the system, but my monitor remained blank and repeatedly went idle (due to no video signal from the computer).

When I first built my computer, I had a problem with crashes, and eventually found out that the cause was a defective stick of RAM. It seems unlikely that this is the case here since one of my sticks of RAM would have had to have failed, which I presume is much less common than getting a stick of DOA RAM.

Not sure what information would be relevant for my case as I have no idea what the possible causes of this are, could any posters shed some light on this?

Thanks.

Not sure if you want this or the goofy 20-column tables this program gives you.

Sorry, it worked a few days ago. Try these:

BlueScreenView

Help Troubleshoot the Blue Screen of Death with BlueScreenView

I would guess that your problem is with the memory but maybe you will get more info if you run the BlueScreenView utility.

To locate where the error exactly comes from we would need to debug your memory.dmp.

But before, please run Prime95 blend for a couple of hours to exclude hardware errors.

How will me aiding in the search for Mersenne prime numbers tell me if I have hardware errors?

Running prime95 may significantly increase your electric bill. The amount
depends on your computer and your local electric rates.

It's a stress test for your hardware, everything's running at 100% capacity. If your pc has the smallest flaw, prime will crash after a while.
