When I try to download CDPoker's software, setuppoker.exe, a warning from Avast! antivirus pops up saying that file is a virus. It's classified as Win32:Malware-gen.

Is there actually a reason to be concerned?

It's probably just a false positive, but you could try uploading it here to see if any other virus killers find a problem:

http://www.virustotal.com/

(moving to CTH as that's really the best place to post these sort of questions)

The false positives for all ipoker installers is a HUGE issue. You'd be surprsied how many positives virustotal will give for some of the rooms (some more than others) - I've seen 20+ positives for some rooms.

With that being said - if you download the installer from the official site of your room you should be safe and you can tell your AV to ignore the file.
