i can no longer connect 4 applications to the internet and this all happened probably at the same time and spontaneously

luckily this is just my laptop which i use as secondary computer

but the apps are:

windows live mail
absolute poker
bodog poker
table ninja

the weird thing is, is that other applications work fine such as p stars

they all bring up errors saying i have firewall on or internet is not connected

well firewalls are off and internet is connected, so what the heck? (checked multiple times to make sure)

i uninstalled bodog and reinstalled but same thing happened

edit: i ran scans with updated avg and it found ****, but malwarebytes didnt

Check you don't have a weird proxy IP in your settings probably changed by a spyware.

PS : I assume with the term firewalls you include peerblock (former peerguardian) : This particular app blocks access to Absolute when loading the default lists.

PPS: you can try an online check using F-secure online scan

thank you, this is how i fixed it, from the TN support forum:

Please give this a try:

1) Open your Internet Explorer and go to Tools -> Internet Options -> Connections and click on "LAN-Settings" at the bottom.

2) Uncheck every box in the small new menu and click ok.

3) Try to load TableNinja again.
