Apologies for putting this here but there are a lot of smart people on this forum and I couldn't find anything on Google regarding this.

This is for an android phone. Is there any way in the world that I could have pages in my browser history that I've never ever visited? Assume that my device is not hacked because there's probably 0% that it's hacked because nothing malicious has happened and especially because the pages that are in the history are from a site that I do visit but articles I never clicked on. Nobody has the password to my phone and nobody has access to it.

I assume I found nothing on Google regarding this because it isn't possible.

Thanks.

You haven't included any specific details that would allow anyone to help you. You may know which browser is "my browser" on your phone, but it's hard to tell from here.

There are features like this built into various browsers:

Search google using: browser pre-load pages android

Thanks for the reply au4. My browser is just referring to chrome. I'm unsure of any details I can give from there. The prefetching isn't selected in my phone/browser. It seems like that could be an answer though in some way as it's only happened on one site and it was both times that I logged onto it on two different days. It's weird though as I only clicked to go to the sites homepage but it appears that on one day ~15 links were clicked and the next ~25 were clicked both in topics that I shouldn't even have suggestions in.

Do you have Chrome synced across multiple devices?

Nope.

prefetching

signed into another computer/device unknowingly

malware/hacked

I really can't think of anything else it could be but maybe I'm missing something.

The history is for sites that you already visit?
