Hi

I have a dell laptop set with uk keyboard settings. For some reason when I press the CTRL button it opens a help page e.g in google chrome when pressing the button it will open http://www.google.com/support/chrome/?hl=en-GB If im using another program when i press the ctrl button it will open the help files for said program - how do I turn it off?

Check the properties (right click) for the Google Chrome executable. See if there is a Shortcut key designated.

I don't know why it would be there but it is probably in one of the Google executables.

The only key in Chrome that should take you to that page is F1 and that key is usually any program's help shortcut.

They do have different keyboard layouts for different countries and the OEM may not bother to change the actual key markings.

There are many programs that can remap the keyboard to the way you want it. Google Remap Keyboard.
