sorry for the double post, i posted in another thread and then realized better to post new thread, mods feel free to delete my post in the other thread if need be.

hey guys, i have very little tech knowledge and my friend (doesn't know anything about poker) is building me a new PC.
The main thing i want to use the PC for is playing and studying poker. I want to run HRC, ICMizer, PT4, browser apps and possibly simple 3way.
I want to be able to multi task with diff programs while studying with no lag.
I think the following specs are pretty good as i have reached out on discord to get feedback.(any feedback/suggestions much appreciated)
One thing that wasn't on my radar was the issue of the PC overheating.(esp while running HRC sims)
I also might want to eventually go to 128GB of ram so not sure how that would affect heat.
My friend said the fan he chose would do the job but again he doesnt know about running software like HRC(neither do I yet)
The fan is one big singular fan that has great reviews but not sure if i should get multiple fans and a different case as he said the present case wouldn't have enough room for multiple fans.
Thanks for any help

How many monitors and how many tables are you planning to use?

You can definitely drop the size of the SSD, 2TB is a lot, especially for an SSD. As far as I know, hand data info is not particularly big.

You can also drop down your memory to 32GB or even 16GB (always using two sticks.)

Given this additional budget, you can consider either adding a basic GPU to help with multiple monitors and HUD screen drawing, or shifting to a laptop, maybe one with a docking station for multi monitors.

2 TB is definitely a must nowadays, 1TB is nothing.

I agree however, that good GPU is a must. To spend a lot on PC, and leave it with the motherboard VGA, is ridiculous. If you want to multi-monitor, try some more visually challenging platforms or maybe decide to switch stream or play some other game once in a while.... Please make yourself a favor and invest in Video Card as well. 128 GB Ram is overkill, to say the least.

Also for the Power Supply, i would go with Seasonic.

thanks for the tip on power supply, someone in another forum said 2 corsair power supply units died on them

as far as GPU, there is an integrated one with the i9 that is supposed to be decent, i will be running 2 monitors but only using the PC for poker playing prob up to 8-10 tables max and studying. If i'm only doing that is another GPU necessary?

Some people that run HRC sims told me that some sims can go over 64GB and the closer i am to max capacity will make the PC run less efficient

You are being advised poorly by the previous posters.

If you are running solvers and poker software, you don't need a GPU (doesn't hurt either, though) and you do need that ample amount of RAM.

The i9 13900 doesn't overheat. It will ramp up to its max temp, if challenged by your simulations, but it will remain in safe range. The better the cooling solution, the better the performance. Those Noctua coolers are pretty good.
That case is good for airflow, make sure you throw in plenty of ventilators of a decent brand to produce a good airflow in your case. Put this beast into the coolest room you have in your house

Thanks a lot. When you say "plenty of ventilators" do you mean case fans? If so will they fit into that case I have?

Case fans, yes. The product page says it comes with 2*12cm and it fits 6. So buy an additional 4x12cm case fans
