Hello,

I was fumbling around with some USB headphones and couldn't get them to work, so decided that it's a good idea to disable the speakers of my laptop from Audio settings. There was a dropdown menu whether to use this device or not and I put it as disabled. As soon as I did that, the speakers device disappeared from Sounds.

How do I get the speakers of my laptop enabled again? I use Windows 7 Home edition and Sony Vaio. I can't seem to be able to find the device anywhere anymore and therefore cannot re-enable it.

Thank you in advance!

Right click on the speaker icon in the task bar. Choose playback devices and under the playback tabs right click and choose "show disabled devices" then just enable your speakers.

I had some USB headphones give me trouble using Vista, I googled it and found a solution. Maybe do that next time before deleting your devices lol.
