2nd Monitor attached to Laptop by DVI-D

I already have one monitor attached to my laptop (ASUS F3Jr) via VGA port
I was wondering if I could connect another so I have 3 screens by buying a DVI-D to VGA adapter (or whatever i need) but im wondering if this is going to work as it only sends out a digital signal.
Please remember that the DVI-D port is different to Mac port as already tried connector for Mac

Any help is much appreciating in advising me on this situation

Your laptop as is cannot run 3 monitors.

There are 3rd party solutions such as:

but personally, I would just use the money to apply towards a 2nd computer (desktop) that fit my needs. (Unless you're actually "mobile" with the 2 external monitors)
