Anyone see the show "Vice" on HBO Friday night. Looking at how they are using genetically altered viruses to kill cancers. Here's an article from Forbes about the show:

It sounds like they need to streamline the process of genetically altering the virus so they can tailor it to the individual. I suspect a lot of types of cancer differ according to the dna of the individual.

Vice is the best show on television. Or certainly the most important. The recent show on Antarctica's melting ice sheets (not growing) I'm sure has the right wing scrambling once again to get their message streamlined.

The special report on cancer was promising. ...

But, if we eradicate the No. 2 killer of humans, how will we afford all those additional old people? Widespread distribution by 2016? Call me skeptical, if only due to politics.
Palms will need to be greased first, which will take years. If there's one thing we're assured of today, it's profits>people.

Cancers are sickness, generated not by random, only by yourself.

So, by you yourself it ( and its) possibly cure that **** inside you

The human nanobot trial looks pretty interesting.

Quote:
A human patient with late stage leukemia will be given DNA nanobot treatment. Without the DNA nanobot treatment the patient would be expected to die in the summer of 2015. Based upon animal trials they expect to remove the cancer within one month.
Don't know if this has actually happened yet.

60 Minutes devoted two segments Sunday night to a 1st stage trial at Duke of a treatment for brain tumors. They inject a genetically modified polio virus into the tumor. The modified virus cannot infect normal cells but retains the capacity to infect the tumor. It infects the tumor, releases poisons which inflame the tumor. The body's immune system now recognizes the tumor as something to attack and kills it off.

Here's a Forbes article on it:
