Because of if its nature and training set it doesn't things like school/uni formal writing really well. So that would be like asking it to compare contrast 2 tools. So its very useful for those kinds of things ie summaries.

I find it weird, maybe its just my insanity but it seems like it does better when you tell it 'no that was wrong do this....' and also when you great it with enthusiasm so like 'Ok walter lets try hammering out this....' (you can call it anything you want)

I swear its more helpful and I can't help but think it just puts its training set in a slightly more matching context.

I got caught up a little this week on the newest stuff. ChatGPT sees, hears and speaks now. Anthropic just got a $4 billion investment from Amazon with access to Amazon chips and all. The AGI race is heating up. The video in this tweet is showing ChatGPT image vision and full multi-modal capabilities. Pretty amazing.

I heard a lot about ChatGPT-4 getting worse for awhile. I think it was suspected because OpenAI kept re-training it, censoring more. They are working on GPT-5 now and Elon Musk's Grok is out in beta. I felt that I think. In some ways its progressing for sure. But something about it makes it feel like they took a dial took far.

I was having problems using a package from a project that bridges my apps with whatsapp. I've been stuck for quite sometime and at best I was constantly having to hack fixes as they upgrade to keep up with whatsapp...

I'm finally good enough I can look thru their code and hack it a little to try and get it to do what I need so I spent a weekend REALLY trying. I could not figure out whats broken. Even with chatgtp one of the class I just can't get working...its supposed to create a mongo database storage object specific for their whats app bridge.

So what i did was I took the required specs they provide, and the class of their I couldn't get to work and gave it to chat gtp with human instructions on what i need it to do.

Because of the nature of what it was provided it gave me back a very clean and WORKING version of a googledrive based store. But whats interesting to me is the code is MUCH more readable for not only me but others that are at my junior to intermediate level.

Its like by the time a good dev finishes their design they didn't have time to make it simple for the plebs. Its like a new type of code between psuedo code and implementation. For chatgtp its just a simple translation problem which is its strength.

There might be a phenomenon where it makes you think it was smarter before as well. I really think that might be a thing.

And I see EVERYWHERE bullshit claims of things it can't do. I watch a demo that was ridiculous and it was a VIDEO demo, the guy literally code up a fake demo of what he was claiming to be working on. Its quite limited and I have seen no such thing as 'training', in the context people think you train it.

GPT is just "calculate the next word a person on the internet would type." Nothing more.

Pretty much the wrong direction if they are seeking the singularity.

They do need to invent one that can do my responses to posts specifically. Would save me a lot of time.
