Well written article on challenging the dogma of our current understanding of QM. At least, well written in the sense that I felt like I could follow the discussion. Perhaps the probabilistic view needs re-examination.

My thoughts immediately went to thinking if this bouncing actually happens in 3d space or if more dimensions would make sense.

I posted about this in the drunk thread. (I was probably drunk at the time.)

This led to some discussion in another thread, starting here:

Transferred from Drunk Thread.

From above link:

Particles at the quantum scale seem to do things that human-scale objects do not do. They can tunnel through barriers, spontaneously arise or annihilate, and occupy discrete energy levels. This new body of research reveals that oil droplets, when guided by pilot waves, also exhibit these quantum-like features.

Discuss...................[I'm skeptical]

Coincidence the "macroscopic" sometimes reminds of the "microscopic"?

For example, consider the double-slit experiment. In de Broglie’s pilot-wave picture, each electron passes through just one of the two slits, but is influenced by a pilot wave that splits and travels through both slits
What is that magic pilot wave? Looks we are only getting into more deep waters.

It's not a lot of help, but here's a wikipedia article:

You should think of it as a wave that creates motion in the particle.
