I understand that the pyramid is not an especially complex concept to come up with and that it is very stable but there are a few things that are very strange about this:
1) Pyramids have been found in Egypt, Bosnia, Bulgaria, Mexico, Sudan, Japan, Indonesia, Russia, Korea, Tahiti, Western Somoa, and even China.
2) In most cases, these structures were the largest or amongst the largest structures in their respective civilizations
3) In all cases, these structures are widely accepted to have been of great religious significance (either as burial grounds for god-men, temples, or altars)
And, no, not all ancient pyramids can be documented as tombs.
