XFL apparently partnered with Your Call Football to test out rules. Is XFL going to allow fans to call plays like they do in ycf? XFL wizard chess

It would be cool on 4th and 1’s if fans could vote on whether to kick or go for it.

Watching SE posters launch into orbit as fans repeatedly vote to punt/kick on 4th and 1 would be hilarious

If anything, I think fans would vote to go for it far more often than coaches usually do solely for the entertainment value behind the 4th down.

It's a terrible idea though. Imagine millions of bots voting to go for it on 4th and 20 at their own 25 early in the first quarter.

That’s why you limit it to 4th and 1’s.

I think Summer XFL would work on over-the-air networks if they could fit a game into a 90 minute window. They would also have the option of broadcasting 2 games in a 3 hour window. 2 6-team divisions, 10 game season, 2 weeks for playoffs, done. Thursday nights probably best to beat the heat.

Summer TV is pretty dead. Gambling is getting more popular, so take advantage of it.

I think just having that data and comparing it to what the coaches do would generate interest. I would not bind a coach's decision to it, though.

In yourcallfootball, I think the coach sends out 3 different and specific plays for the fans to pick from on every down, run/pass/option. Haven't experienced it yet so I'm not positive though.
