I think Summer XFL would work on over-the-air networks if they could fit a game into a 90 minute window. They would also have the option of broadcasting 2 games in a 3 hour window. 2 6-team divisions, 10 game season, 2 weeks for playoffs, done. Thursday nights probably best to beat the heat.
Summer TV is pretty dead. Gambling is getting more popular, so take advantage of it.
In yourcallfootball, I think the coach sends out 3 different and specific plays for the fans to pick from on every down, run/pass/option. Haven't experienced it yet so I'm not positive though.
The XFL on Monday announced multiyear agreements with ESPN and Fox Sports to televise games starting with its inaugural 2020 season. XFL games will air weekly on broadcast TV (ABC and Fox) complemented by games on cable (ESPN, ESPN2, FS1 and FS2). The XFL's TV schedule will feature back-to-back games each Saturday at 2 p.m. ET and two games on Sunday afternoons.
