How does someone with over 2k posts not know about PPP settings? I find that very hard to believe. Almost like a 12 year old who still believes in Santa Clause.

i think all of the phillies fans in here besides lindros are impostors. why are you guys being nice? are you phillies fans who are from iowa or something? you should be ashamed of yourselves. if we printed out your posts and had you distribute them in the 700 level of the vet circa 1989 you would be dead within 3 minutes. **** the yankees and **** their fans. this is war.

of course that would be the case, i had to sit through ****ing carlton loewer and pete incaviglia. the fact of the matter is those bandwagon morans have stats backnig them up, obv doesnt mean anything, but they can outnumber and post some obscure stat and it makes them theoretically correct.

Most of the yankee fans on this forum and in general are just people who couldnt root for their home team, so they went with the team thats been to the WS like 40 times. Enough of these people go to my school so i hear this pretty much daily. But did you ever hear of ops!?! joba! coke! demarte!

cant wait till tomorrow night already

meh i wasnt really calling you guys out, but i go to penn and its filled with the people i described in my last post. Also living in philly ive always been amazed at the number of yankee fans that grew up in freakin south philly, just annoying, nothing worse than a bandwagon fan.

I still think you and your numbers are idiotic

Im not a total homer though, i can admit when im going to get thrashed. Sunday at 4pm im going to be feeling ill im sure

while i agree it's super gay that they talk about stats so much, i suggest you guys find something else to make fun of because you will not win an argument about stats against poker dorks. i would focus more on things like:

"arod is gay" - i cant believe that super intense ass-grabbing doesnt get worked into evey single post - that was ****ing disturbing

"every phillies player could beat the **** out of his yankee counterpart"

etc....

LET'S GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Im going to game 3 cause my pops has a seat for me, but thats it. Tomorrow i will attend class, go to tony lukes for a roast pork w/sharp prov. and pick up some bananas from the banana store. Followed by returning home, p4eeling bananas, drinking stella artoire, and watching cliff lee pitch a CG shut out.

yes this is very strange. I am getting more riled up about a regular season hockey game against their ****ty team then they are about the World Series.

One of the greatest pitching performances ever.

LOL btw @ whoever said Yankee fans don't respect Pedro. Pretty sure every baseball fan loves him.

That's the whole point, champ. Over the last 55+ playoff games (and I'm sure it would continue similarly under a larger sample size, were I to bother figuring it out) the team with the better yearly offensive statistics holds merely a very slight winning record.

Ugh. The point is, that for all the proclamations of "R BETTER TEAM DAN URS" it means nothing if it's not predictive of results, which if CANT BE over a playoff series that's, at the most, seven games long.

But way to pull random percentages out of your ass, using, as support the statistics that don't predict future anything.

And every single Yankee fan (ok, hyperbole, but a big handful) can't grasp the concept that being "better" doesn't matter because it doesn't mean anything. Except, on paper, of course, which, of course, is where all games are won and lost, LDO.

Pretty much. I'm saying, IT DOESN'T MATTER WHICH TEAM IS 'BETTER'!
ERICLINDROOSSSSSSS
If it doesn't matter let's make some bets, heck I might even be generous and give you better than even money!

It's funny how much Philly fans are sucking off Cliff Lee, you guys do realize that the Phillies are going to be a relatively significant dog this series each game he pitches, right?

That is pretty far from the truth actually. You just seem to chime in with dumb comments about Hockey and derail this beautiful thread.

TBH most of the big Phillies posters have already said they arent going to post in here at all, I tried to drum up some excitement but only a few were on board. Stakman and the like.
