Got in the game free. LOL Cleveland ticket takers turning their backs so I made a run for it. Got grabbed but just told to leave. Soon thereafter my sister finds a friend who says her ticket never got scanned. She passed it through to me and I am in. Result sucked ldo but not a bad night for a fan who flew 2000+ miles to be there.

The crazy part is that the Jays also have Dan Shulman as a part-time play-by-play guy. And he is not only way better than Buck, but he is way better than just about anybody....

I am a bit surprised Shulman isn't full-time for some broadcast crew somewhere.

A 5 run lead is not a safe thing in baseball, no reason to gamble with your lesser relievers not blowing it when your season is on the line. I agree bringing him out for the 9th seems unnecessary, but still didn't hurt anything (fell asleep just before that part so just looking at the box score and didn't realize he came out for the 9th), but absolutely nothing wrong with the 1.1 innings he threw before that, was correct to use him there. Plus there is a chance he won't even be needed tomorrow, but he is still available and will still be fresh.

I don't mind Buck. Been listening to him for over 20 years, guess I'm used to it. Statistically he doesn't get it at all, but he was a catcher, then a broadcaster, then a manager, so his feel for the other stuff makes up for some of it.

If I were Francona, I would start Miller for 3 innings. Maybe 4. Then I would go to Kluber, and then I would go to Allen. I can't wait for the day a manager lets his closer start the game.

The series has been dramatic, but the individual games have not been tense or close. It would be really neat to have a nail-biter here. Either a walk-off, late game comeback, or something epic.

That would top things off.
