Just rewatched it and it really was close. I'd give 1+3 to Machida and 2+4+5 to Rua.

Yeah, I'd say Shogun won but it wasn't like highway robbery like some people are saying. Defs. be super interested to watch the rematch and a potential Silva vs Shogun fight sometime.

However, where the heck was Machida's offense? He could be hurt from those kicks but he needs to get in there and throw around his combinations. Take that one leg kick. So many times he has a minor advantage but he doesn't take it. It seems like he's watching for a big hole or something..

My jaw literally dropped when I heard the decision.
This wasn't even the worst decision of the last three months.

UFC doesn't hire the judges, it's in the hands of the athletic commission.

You're not going to watch the UFC because state-appointed judges delivered a questionable decision?

This.

Oh look, it's bitter boxing guy. Hai!

(I like boxing. Stop being a **********.)

I'm shocked that this is one of a handful of fights you've watched live.

You've only see UFC's from the last year or two I imagine.

I enjoyed the fight actually. Thought it was entertaining just on the principle that it was Shogun and Machida.

Yes. If Dana fought hard enough, he could change the system and get competent judges. Judges were one of the factors in boxing's downfall and it could do the same thing to MMA.

C'mon that's ridiculous.

This decision is being blown way out of proportion. It's not even close to say Bisping/Hammil

And there's human error an judgment, even "competent judges" will make decisions you completely disagree with from time to time

Ummmmmmm

no.

Athletic commisssions are old-boy networks and Dana can't do **** to change how incompetent the CSAC is. If money could influence it, boxing's money would have long ago.

I don't think every MMA media outlet had the fight for Hammil. I don't think 83% of like 20,000 people on Sherdog had Hammil. I don't think Bisping/Hammil was even an important fight, let alone a main event title fight. So yeah, I really disagree with your statement.

Also, Machida can go **** himself saying he almost finished the fight three or four times.
