On merit, Pacquiao, especially if he beats Cotto.

If we're talking talent, probably PBF.

I will miss Pacquiao-Cotto on Nov. 14th because I'm gonna see the Flames-Leafs game in Toronto. I will be a nervous wreck the whole night, hoping for nothing weird to happen en route to the Mayweather-Pacquiao Super Bowl of Boxing. After that fight (plz God), we'll have our answer.

Boxing needs Mayweather-Pacquiao now more than it's ever needed a fight before. Amirite?

However, as of right now, I think you kinda have to give your vote to the guy who's 40-0.

I'm still not sure what to think of this whole weigh-in debacle though. I want to say it wouldn't have made a difference at all, but it's just sloppy.

The earlier Mayweather/Pac happens, the better. Both fighters are in their prime right now. A match between them would approach Fight of the Century status.

Well hypothetically, it would easily be the biggest fight of this decade...meaning it's the automatic heir to the "Fight of the Century" throne.

So would B-Hop need to beat pac to get p4p #1? How bout israel vasquez? The p4p list is just a hypothetical subjective list.

That's a good summation.

I just wonder how the negotiations are going to go when Mayweather insists on splitting the money with Pacquiao 95/5 and then calls him a thousandaire.

Well, B-Hop and Vasquez will never beat Pacman because they'll never be in the same weight class which makes your entire statement pointless.

Yes, it is subjective. So are all lists like this. But the question is who is the pound for pound king and you have to answer it somehow.

Fact is to be the best you have to beat the best and Mayweather has yet to fight Pacman. Beating Pac will cement him as one of the greatest of all-time. Wouldn't quite put him in Sugar Ray Robinson status, but he could be around there when his career is over.
