I dunno how quickly CBC sold that game to TSN, but it does make sense for them to split the coverage like that. Jay Onrait even mentioned that you can watch Habs/Bruins on CBC at 7pm tonight on Sportscenter, which never happens, but I guess it was part of the deal CBC gave them.

No idea what's going on the Americans though.

If Dwayne Roloson does not advance I will be sad

they's 'Mericans, i'm guessing.

Bruins-Habs too close to call from a rooting perspective. like Montreal, not a big fan of too many of their small players though. wanna support the Canadian team. like more players on Boston, and picked them to get to the Finals in most (all?) of my pools, lol me. so i'll abstain, let the best team win!

Pens-Bolts i'll probably go with Tampa. Pittsburgh is boring me unless Sid's gonna comeback soon, but that doesn't seem likely. and Tampa has St. Marty WIM, Simon WIN, cousin Vinny, Rolly the goalie, Matty Ohlund, etc. and who knows, maybe Stamkos will step it up in round 2? one good game does not a player make. Tampa vs Washington or Philly just seems like more fun than seeing this Pittsburgh team play anyone. but hey, they do have that rivalry with the Caps, maybe they get revenge for Sid? Pittsburgh/Philly would be fun too.

i think i just talked myself into another abstention, basically. slightly pulling for Tampa, but i won't be too upset either way.
now let's see who...

This will be the eighth Game 7 these teams have played against each other, the most by any two teams in any pro sport. The Red Wings and Maple Leafs have played six Game 7s against each other, as have the NBA Boston Celtics and Philadelphia 76ers.

And if you add in the 1931 semi-finals, which was a best 3-out-of-5 that year, tonight’s game will be the ninth time these two teams will have gone the limit in a Stanley Cup series.

The Canadiens have won six of the eight series against Boston that have gone the distance. They went on to win the Stanley Cup three times after those decisive games, in ’31, ’71 and ’79.

The habs have also won their last 4 game 7 (including 2 against the bruins in '04 and '08) while the bruins have lost their last 4 game 7.

I don't care about people winning 7 game series back in 31 or 71. The game has changed way too much for these regardless facts.

The facts are, Bruins always choke under pressure of losing against their biggest rivals. Their own fans boo them after being down 1 goal half way through the 1st game of the series, lol. Even their fans give up hope fast, so sad.

Of course it doesn't matter what happened last century.
But the bruins have also been knocked out of the playoff in game #7 for the last 3 years while the habs have won their 3 game 7 in the last 3 years.

Which clearly shows that habs WIM >>> boston's WIM.

Spoiler:

I think it shows that Halak stood on his head last year.

Boston has a lot of different players this year than the last two years. You never know what can happen.
