Besler and Ream looked really good I thought. Ream would be a different kind of LB for us, but maybe he can fit in that role.

Great to have a destroyer like JJ back in the midfield.

Orozco and Alvarado make me nervous for different reasons (bad and loose, respectively)

Zardes was awesome

Yedlin is just stupid fast, and maintained his speed the entire game (I couldn't believe he made it to that one ball from Jozy)

After the Chandler adventures at GC I'm super fine with having a nice boring LB who is playing every week in the championship.

ream wasn't too shabby last night

since #freelichaj aint ever happening, i'd be cool with cameron at RB. he is a legit player who will know how to handle things behind yedlin and can be surprisingly effective getting forward on occasion, especially if he and yedlin can work a good understanding

So the MLS community is about at its end with Jurgen. The complaints about Jurgen's arrogance is funny to me, because, the way I see things, MLS journos harping on firing JK and bringing in an MLS Arena/Bradley 4-4-2 clone is also rather arrogant. I understand there's a brand to protect, but JK's comments about MLS and the general culture of the sport in the US are accurate. I'm no MLS hater, but the league needs to get real. It is simply not high-level
competition. The competition in CONCACAF is getting better (ironically due to MLS's help) and our players cannot hide domestically and even expect to cakewalk GCs and WCQs, much less contend at higher levels. Jamaica's 2015 GC squad had only 2 domestic players, as opposed to 15 in 2005.

I don't agree with everything Jurgen does, but who is the better option? You could bring in another foreign name and I guarantee he will only echo the same complaints and hurt the same feelings. The last thing we need right now in an MLS party line puppet.

The MLS blows, I'm with Jurgen for the duration, hell, make him head of US Soccer too.

He was a world class player, and he is from arguably the greatest footballing culture in the world, now that Brazil has gone off the cliff.

Gotta grow better players, or get some talent via the citizenship racket.

No US born coach, player or pundit knows wtf soccer is, to a large degree.

Ya Jurgen is spot on. We can keep banging on about OMG home grown mls players but the reality is they're just not good and the league just isn't good. That's even more evidenced now with the players who are half decent away with their NTs. Some truly awful embarrassing soccer is being played. Lol at a league that regularly plays while their best players are away too.

My problem with Jurgen is he doesn't listen to himself. Selecting alan gordon for the gold cup and wondolowski for the world cup and gold cup is inexcusable. They're so bad. Everybody knows they're so bad and yet he not only brings them but plays them in hugely important games.

This doesn't mean there's no room for any mls guys. I want to see what nagbe can do for example. But the emphasis has to be on getting to Europe and staying there. I'm not on the zardes hype train like most of you but jozy is prob still our best striker. After that though I'm giving bobby wood a runout then ajo over the wondo's and Alan Gordons or any other mls lifer

Tonight should be fun.

Mostly interested in the center back pairing, have a bad feeling he's going to try to go with Alvarado again, seems to really rate him.

Interested to see how Brooks does as well.

And whether GOATasi Zardes stays on the wing or goes to partner Jozy up top.
