Russia, Uruguay, England, Switzerland, Greece, etc. are all more talented than the US and generally better organized too. Sure England is overrated and delusional, but it's still gonna beat USA 7-8 out of 10 times.
Against teams like Spain or Brazil or Italy the USA can park the bus and fight, but the technical difference is serious. The US has perhaps a handful of players that would even play on the national sides in Spain or Brazil (I can't think of one, though). Against Germany I don't see USA as having a hope because parking the bus won't help so much because of how Germany plays.
I think you don't know what you're talking about. You are arguing as though this was the US team 20 years ago; taking ~80% of points from a team is a massive, massive advantage.
In my opinion, US would take >50% points from England. Because they are better.
But I guess all this will be decided come World Cup time, because I will load up on the USA, and let the chips fall where they may.
