hmm. in this half he's done the same stuff he's always done - played a ton of balls back to defenders, retained composure, and been present defensively while still threatening offensively. he's very good at playing behind the ball and, honestly, he does instill a sense of patience and competence which seems to be lacking from a lot of other players.

he never was really really good. he certainly won a lot of exercising awards and all that, and he got overinflated by neckbeards. but he's pretty obviously better than most of the other players on this field. and, again, maybe that says more about his contemporaries than himself, but he's decent

They have a horrible track record, and FIFA should have far less of leash with them over others.
Really? I'm not saying FIFA shouldn't stamp it out but I think there are a lot worse things being said/done in football stadiums around the world...I don't think yelling puto is among one of the first, but again you can be offended by whatever you want :shrug

70 career appearances and 7 goals? I had to make sure he wasn't a defender. Those are Zardes numbers.

(not a slight on the womans game - i prefer it, actually!) but man these guys are really good!

I've worked with central Americans pretty much my whole adult life. I've always understood it to mean b*tch.

Thanks for clearing up the last 5 years of Michael Bradley based on the first half of USMNT you've watched in that period.

Also, there's not a single player eligible for Mexico, minus Lozano, I would trade for McKennie.

i just remember announcers would always praise his vision and passing and then id see his defending and id wonder why the **** was he played along the back because to me that seems like the most important thing about being a defender, ie. defending, which ream seemed incapable of doing

What a dumb strawman since I do not and obviously would not endorse either of these things. And as bad as Eagles/Philly fans are in general, hard to be worse than throwing batteries and bags of urine at players.

Being so offended by a language you don't speak is hilarious, while raising zero concern over the comment about the people in attendance at this match being 99% illegal.

Yea pussy, *****, etc... I wasn't saying the literal translation was pussy if that's what kidcolin is lol'ing at but more it was an insult along the lines of calling someone a pussy or a *****.

I thought Alvarez was M's worst player in the first half fwiw. Maybe dos Santos. He was poor too.
