Hi thread.

Seeded teams are the following:
Borussia Moenchengladbach, Club Brugge, Besiktas, Everton, Red Bull Salzburg, Dinamo Moscow, Inter Milan, Feyenoord, Napoli, Dynamo Kiev, Fiorentina, Legia Warsaw, Sporting Lisbon, Olympiakos, Zenit St Petersburg, Athletic Bilbao.

Liverpool specially want to avoid Napoli and Zenit imo. Best case scenario would be either Salzburg, Legia Warsaw or Brugge.

We are at a point where we need an easy tie after the CL fiasco. Lets save the exciting draws for later on.

From the unseeded teams I think the toughest draw is Roma with Liverpool also being a team you probably want to avoid.

They lost to Malmo, Im more scared by the team that actually finished way above them in their group.

Gladbach vs Liverpool could be fun but preferably later in the competition

Brugge and Salzburg are both clear underdogs against us. Lets put some logic into this.
An absolutely horrible Liverpool team lost 2-1 against Basel and Basel made the semifinals of the EL two years ago and the QF of last year. Add Sturridge to the team and we are getting past of anybody who is not from a top 10 league.

I think the top 9 leagues are pretty clear, who's #10, Turkey? Greece? Belgium?

Have to think that turkey is clearly ahead of Greece

Yeah I'd guess they're ahead too, but they're nowhere near as strong as they have been in the past though. So as long as plop get a team from Greece or below they'll be fine then.

Mighty Algerian league for sure.

There was some other poll that had Australia at 70th or something behind a bunch of countries at civil war, so its good to see we are improving somewhat. We should be miles behind the J-League though.

When West Sydney Wanderers ship the Club World Cup then you can proclaim us GOAT!

You could argue the Portuguese league is as good as any outside of the top 8. It's way too low on that list.
