I just don't see the point in putting regular posters on ignore.

Wait, what? People take RITS seriously?

I just imagine his posts are poorly executed parody of Marca articles or some other form of alternative facts.

That way they become a semi-amusing read.

Yeah, even RITS posts reasonable stuff every now and then.

That rita (sp?) and various other no-content guys, tho.
Ignore-list all day every day IMO.

RITS,

If that wall of text of yours isn't perfectly attesting to my earlier hypothesis on what's wrong with Hardcore Internet RM fanhood, I don't know what is.

FWIW, I think most people like Messi more is because he's the better football player.
It's true he comes off as a very likeable person, too, ofc.

It's also true many people tend to dislike Ronaldo, but I don't believe it's really due to reasons you listed.
It's because he's a whiner, craving for attention and exhibits unsportsmanlike behavior.

I mean, playing for the richest club in the universe and blaming his teammates for having less trophies than Messi/Barcelona is straight up there in the lolwtfbbq-territory.
Or being a dead waste of space in two CL finals for about 240 minutes but still trying to make it all about him in the end after a meaningless goal or a succesful PK.
People just don't like narcissists, I guess?

I personally don't care, i like to see it as a part of the showbiz we call football.

Also, I agree with your assessment that Portugal stand no chance to win it if they had to face Germany/Spain. Or even Italy.
Turns out it was pretty important to be piss-poor in the group stage!

FWIW I was actively rooting for them in the final. I've always had a soft spot for the Portuguese NT for some reason. Even more beautiful when their main man turned out to be ÉDER of all people. Ronaldo trying to make it all about him once again sort of ruined it somewhat, but that's to be expected I guess.

Can it be goal post shifting if the posts never even existed?

philosoraptor.gif

I mean, I never said anything about Ronaldo passing or not passing.

All I did was convert figures you provided into a more easily approachable format.

0.23 assists per game would still be pretty good. Just not up there with the best in the game.

ETA:
I actually looked up the correct figures, tho.
They're 0.39 assists per game for Messi
and 0.27 for Ronaldo
Incl. Club & NT

surely there's something productive you can do at work

how about you go do a few practice laps in the simulator to prepare. free practice 1 in catalunya is only six days away

That's a fine suggestion.

I'm kinda on the fence between that and typing a lengthy reply to nonsense posted by a bloke named after Maradona.

What do you mean regular posters? He's the only one I have on ignore.

He gloryhunts from like a thousand miles from Madrid, posts pictures of Ronaldo:
- whenever Ronaldo scores a bunch
- when Ronaldo does well enough to spark a Ronaldo versus Messi debate (which is very often)
- when Messi does well enough to close the debate once and for all (or so it seems)
- when Madrid win something
- when they don't and are made fun of
- when Barcelona do extremely well and it makes him jealous
- when Barcelona just do very well and he is still jealous but sees it as an opportunity to glorify the great country of Romania eh I mean superior city of Madrid
- whenever the golden ball and/or boot things are rewarded to the most flashy guy on the european club team that won the most prizes
etc

And then he also criticizes the coach at every chance he gets for only winning 95% of their games or whatever surreal stats they've achieved.
It adds nothing positive to my experience here and he largely goes ignored so there's not many interactions that you don't understand.

Even SugarNut - who has bored me for years with his constant DA25, Lahmgoat TAxx etc, Robben has Robbened and whatever other abbreviations and memes he keeps rehashing whenever he is on here by himself watching the Bayern game - has never made it even close to my ignore list.
He can at least engage in normal interactions with the other people on here and is sometimes informative, adds mspaint/gif content etc and is generally just an OK guy I guess. Not rits.

Can you imagine how much of a sissy and nerd Ambush is irl? Can you imagine how butthurt I've made him if he took so much time to think about me, it's just glorious I'm super important to him, otherwise he would've just ignored me and moved on, he wouldn't constantly think about me. That Pummi guy, too. He's fuming right now, busting up stats and everything hahahahahaha

Kool pic, RITS. Made me stop killing time watching funny cat videos for a sec.

Why don't you post a pic of players that actually made it happen on the pitch that day, though?

Also, I always wondered if it was true that Mendes called Ronaldo during the break and told him that he needs to go waive his hands and yell at the sidelines, pronto, to gain more exposure/TV time.

Are you able to confirm/deny this vital piece of information?

They find it unfair. Can you imagine Messi doing what Ronaldo did in the last few months? They would've gotten him a statue at the Camp Nou right now.

And then... then all of a sudden, the sky got darker. And darker. Fast.

They just got pummeled, they never saw it coming. Messi being 4-1 in Ballon d'Ors, Mourinho trying to destroy RM, trophyless season, new coach, new project, new players etc. They hoped the instability at RM would persist, as it always did since Ronaldo came. Messi would just thrive, nothing would stop him. The World Cup final, the big, BIG dream right there. The absolute crown.

AND THEN THE MOTHER****ER got pissed. BOOM, Ballon d'Or. And another one. And another one. 5-4 now and he's cruising to 5-5 from 4-1 BdOs.

BOOM Champions League. BOOM another one. AND BOOM other final, 3 in the last 4 years, while crushing every record, his own anterior records to be more specific. And we are in pole position to win the league as well. It could easily be 4 BdOs in 5 years and 3 CLs in 4 years.

5 goals against Bayern? Neuer? 3 goals against Atletico, AGAIN? Can you imagine if Messi did that this season? 47 hat-tricks, Jesus Christ...

And the Euros. Oh... The Euros. WHO THE **** SAW IT COMING? Against Germany? No way. Spain? **** off, that's impossible. England, France, Italy, Belgium, Poland, Croatia? ZERO chances.

Spoiler:
As a 50 year Real Madrid supporter, I couldn't have put it any better. He isn't called "CHRIST"iano Ronaldo for nothing.
