Barcelona ain't it. Neither are Liverpool or Turin, to remove some easy suspects.

Does the country with two entries still exist?

It's not Yugoslavia or Czechoslovakia, if that's what you are getting at.

Athens?

Wait, can't be Athens. We're already at nine entries. Has to be from one of the countries already represented.

Not Athens. Piraeus isn't part of the city of Athens, so no.

Last guess then I'm out. Birmingham.

Really going out on a limb here, Not sure if FC ever did anything in Europe. I know Villa have, though ().

Nope. I'll reveal the last city (if necessary) in the morning, as it's sleepy time for me.

Ha for real? Nice. I'm only 32 but I know those 3 were powers back in the day. Reading Behind the Curtain certainly helped. As for the clubs I'll take a shot but have no real idea

Austria - Rapid Wien Austria Wien
Bucharest - Steaua Bucharest, Dinamo Bucharest?
Budapest - Ferencvaros, MTK?

I wouldn't recommend going to games in Hungary unless you can handle boring games that seem to last for an eternity (so Utd fans are welcome)

AND

at times handle mongoloids insulting even Spanish/SouthAmerican players on a racial basis...monkey chants etc.

We utterly crushed Magyarorszag's football identity in '54. No chance for recovery. Ever.

A game in Hungary is not at the top of my list. Though if I happened to be in Hungary during football season I would undoubtedly seek out some sort of game. Would probably want to visit Ferencvaros which I'm sure is dump but was once one of the great sides in the world

Actually their new stadium is pretty nice and they are leading the league 20pts or something silly like that. The real test will be next season in the CL qualifiers, but they seem to be doing quite well.. I live a couple of metro stations away from the stadium but since their schedule usually collides w TBLITW I've never been to a game. Maybe will go to Fradi-Újpest next season...maybe

Vienna and Bucharest are right. For Budapest it's Upjest(73-74) and Vasas (in 57-58). Pretty random names.

So yeah, the only country with the arbitrary achievement of two cities with two teams in the semis is Scotland. Cheers to marty. Lolcity can add Manchester and England to these lists this year.

On the plus side Vienna is an elite city so I'd pick that game.

Monolinguism gripe: It's Atlético (Madrid) and Athletic (Bilbao). No Spanish speaker calls Madrid "Real" in part because there are also "Real Sociedad", "Real Club Deportivo Espanyol", "Real Murcia", etc. They're just "Madrid", and someone saying "Madrid" never means Atleti. Someone calling them "Real" obviously watches football on Sky and drinks sangria when not at the beach.

Are you implying that drinking Sangria when at the beach is in any way superior to drinking Sangria when not at the beach? Sangria WÖAT ÖAT of all time in any setting, imo.

I agree with the rest of your pöst, though. Especially the Atléti/Athletic part. Grinds my gears every time. There are even some German sports "journalists" who still say Atlético Bilbao. Insta life tilt when I hear that.
