11TH GREATEST PLAYER OF ALL TIME IS:

8× NBA Champion (1963–1966, 1968–1969, 1974, 1976)
1× NBA Finals MVP (1974)
13× NBA All Star (1966–1978)
NBA 35th Anniversary Team
NBA 50th Anniversary Team
1962 NBA All-Rookie Team
4× All-NBA First Team (1971–1974)
7× All-NBA Second Team (1964–1970, 1975–1976)
5× NBA All-Defensive First Team (1972–1976)
3× NBA All-Defensive Second Team (1969–1971)
1× NCAA Men's Basketball Champion (1960)

Actually, looking @ that list of accolades and having read all the other picks and criteria, I'm sticking with Havlicek. Do not veto this selection
09-16-2010 , 04:28 PM
no big O yet? stockton over big O, that's bad man.
09-16-2010 , 04:28 PM
It's obvious I have a hardon for Kobe but I liked Speel's write-up and fwiw I think he fell to about the right spot in the draft. He still has something left in the tank and it wouldn't surprise if you guys do this draft again in another year or two to see him even go a little higher.

Try one more time and take DRob imo.
09-16-2010 , 04:31 PM
I'm in too good with tuq to do that
09-16-2010 , 04:32 PM
drob/kg/malone/mchale/barkley >> kobe
09-16-2010 , 04:34 PM
i mean if i was going on what i thought was legitimate best player/career

it'd be like oscar, drob, or lebron

lebron has probably done enough already to be in the discussion

but yeah i really don't get this mostly because the criteria is kind of ridiculous to argue/take seriously in a lot of cases
09-16-2010 , 04:34 PM
I'm not sure who C-Vig is actually taking (hopefully DRob), but with the 12th overall pick I select Oscar Robertson.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ecgwZVnvPIc

He averaged a triple double, can't get much greater than that. He's a lot greater than LeBron aorn. Some consider him the best ever.

He's sixth all-time in Win Shares
Averaged 25/10/8 for his career
Has a ring
Has an MVP
Has multiple AS game MVPs
Appeared in 12 straight AS games
Was very efficient with a high usage and defended well

The 13th best player in the world is

Bobbo "Bobbert" Fitos

- Rookie of the Year MAAC 1992-1993
- All Conference MAAC 3 years 1993-1996
- Selected in the 4th round of NBA Modern Draft
- GOAT Player/Coach combo
- Creator of the decision tree
- Understands statistics
- Has a poker book and coaches in his free time
- Fan favorite
- Can be nonsensical

Career Stats

22 p/36, 8 r/36, 5 a/36. Highly efficient on average usage. 23 PER, 18 USG. Plays for the team. GOAT APM.

Tendencies

Always shoots the 3 or a layup. Close out hard on him because he won't pump fake and pull up for a 2pt jumper. Has issues vs taller insider players when going for the layup. Has only average finishing skills against 6'8+ players. 55% career 3pt shooter.
