I was hoping this could drop to me. Larry Sanders Show is an awesome awesome show that is criminally underrated, I think it would be even more successful with today's audience. A really fantastic show.

Another show with tons of talent: Shandling, Piven, Tambor, Rip Torn, Garafolo, Chloe from 24, David Palmers wife, Apatow as a producer, etc.

Edit: Odenkirk as Larry Sanders agent is one of my favorite tv characters ever.

Was wondering when 30 Rock would go. It's obviously comedic gold, but has been unable to sustain viewership.

Why? The Office gets better ratings and has a more loyal fan base.

30 Rock is a much better fit for Assani's network. Sure it gives him something that South park and Family Guy also give, but its not like his demographic of college-aged males will tire of seeing one more hilarious episodic show. The Office works much better as a network show where they can benefit from they will they won't they sexual tension.

It's sad but true. Like I alluded to in an earlier post, it astonishes me how many people I've spoken to who love The Office but say they've never liked, or even watched, 30 Rock.

From what little I've seen of 30 Rock, it seems like a show I'd have to have watched from the beginning to enjoy, and I really don't care enough to bother at this point. It is weird though that it's the only show in NBC's Thursday night lineup I don't watch.

30 Rock >>>> The Office imo, both as a show and as a pick. Throw in the Alec Baldwin Emmys, its consistency through 4 seasons, and it's no contest.

On Dr Who,

The special effects even in the new series are awful, the writing sucks ass and the general production is bad. Its only saving grace is that the two most recent leads have been acted well in the role as the doctor. I mean for crying out loud the show has a spin off that is better and more critically lauded. It wasn't getting picked soon and trading up for it is wierd. Seriously, there are some shows that if you fail to pick up you're going to kick yourself for picking Mythbusters and Dr Who.

ETA: And it has zero popularity in the US, I just dont get it at all.


30 Rock is great value and one of the shows I was considering even though it was a bad fit. It absolutely should have gone before the office and Its Always Sunny and as people have already said would have been a much better fit for Assani's network than the office.

I never watched Oz so I'm only going off peoples opinions but it sounds like you get 3 or 4 seasons of ok programming, maybe a bit high but ok.

I want to punch myself in the face for not picking the Larry Sanders Show. Didn't think of it, never popped into my head and wasn't on my radar. So ****ing stupid. The show is awesome, would be better recieved today and would have made a deadly comedy pairing with Curb.

God, totally forgot about Larry Sanders. BIMO.

Thinking more about Oz I think it is a show that has a huge first mover advantage and there are better good, shallow cable dramas.

30 Rock is on the uptick as far as viewers go, definitely good value here.

Man, as soon as I saw the 30 Rock pick it instantly reminded me of another show about a show, Larry Sanders. Only have gotten through the first few seasons, should pick that back up.
