Dude wasn't just cheating on taxes. With some Mexican collaborators he organized some "benefit" games “Amigos de Messi contra el resto del mundo” (Friends of Messi against the rest of the world), serendipitously located in places like Medellin, to which no one went and for which he was paid well.

controversial having zidane represented by his mediocre madrid years instead of the great juve years.

What did Portugal win with Ronaldo?

the biggest Ronaldo advantage on Messi is this international title with national team which he had been dreaming of since losing Greece on the final of EURO 2004

Libertadores in 1962 and 1963 among many league titles.

Clearly the picture there is of players who won a big international tournament (WC or Euro) on the same year they won a big club level tourney (Libertadores, Champions League).

Is there evidence that European club teams in the 60s were better than the Brazillian league? I mean, Brazil dominated international soccer that decade and there wasn't as much transfer of players with rules against foreign players.

Maybe it is reigning champion on a CL-Libertadores-UEFA tournament and on WC-Euro

Zidane was the WC champion (from 98) and Euro champion (from 2000) at the time Real Madrid won the CL in 01-02.

Maradona was the WC champion (from 86) at the time Napoli won the UEFA Cup in 88-89.

Not as nice as winning on the same year, but close.

great strategy, he learned it from Simeone. be pish in yet another major final, deviate the attention from that by threatening to quit, come back as a "hero". lol
