We're bored and it's summer so we thought we would spend 10 hours drinking and debating who the top 20 NBA players of all time were. I know its next to impossible to compare players from different eras, that play different positions in a team sport but here is the list we came up with. We took into account Stats, championships, leaderships, defensive ability and just overall how good were they. Since essentially your only goal is to win a ring anybody who couldn't win one didn't make the cut until the end. Here is the list. I'm bored let's debate

1. MJ
2. Kareem
3. Bill Russel
4. Magic
5. Larry Bird
6.Kobe
7. Duncan
8. Wilt
10. Shaq
11. Jerry West
12.Scottie Pippen
13. John Havelcheck
14. Lebron
15. Isiah
16. Hakeem
17. KG
18. Julius Erving
19. David Robinson
20. Elgin Baylor

Let the **** talking begin

It's in the wrong spot and it's absurdly wrong without any justification. It's just a list (and a bad one). May as well be Buzzfeed.

Lebron is probably the most unique player on this list. He has top 10 Statistics, great defensively, 2 rings, but his career isn't over. When it's all said and done he could be top 5 but Here's my reasoning on Lebron.

Give him credit for the rings, he was the best player on the court for those 2 years but at the same time he went to a team who was predicted to be top 2/3 in the east-after the addition of Bosh. They also already had Wade an established superstar.
I may be incorrect but I don't recall any other player who has done that.

To be in the top 6-7, at least in my opinion you need 3+. He doesn't have that. You can really throw him anywhere between 8-15. This may be incorrect thinking but I value leadership, loyalty and rings slightly more on my list than statistical greatness

and just for the record I would love to hear anybody else's list

challenge accepted!

1. Scottie Pippen - great defender, great tipper, and the real key to those Bulls teams
2. Wilt - fun fact: scored 100 points once!
3. Kareem - would be higher if not for stupid goggles
4. MJ - had a lousy batting average
5. KG - anything is poss-i-buuullllllllll
6. Hakeem - made the Raptors what they are today
7. Lebron - must improve: loyalty
8. Isiah - great executive though
9. [redacted]
10. Larry Bird - not bad for a white guy, otherwise pretty bad
11. David Robinson - ranked very low in leadership
12. Duncan - well he's certainly no David Robinson!
13. Kobe - hasn't risen beyond his draft position
14. Elgin Baylor - see: Isiah
15. Magic - #1 in AIDS though
16. Bill Russel - born loser
17. Shaq - would have been top-10 if he loyally stayed in Orlando
18. John Havelcheck - who?
19. Julius Erving - too bad he wasted time in the ABA
20. Jerry West - but #1 in logos

You are knocking lebron because he had wade and bosh but not mj, pippen, Duncan, Robinson, Kobe, or shaq? Those 6 all had a teammate that is on this list.

If you had a draft of players you could pick to lead your franchise for ten years and you got them in their prime there is no way lebron would not be in the top 5.

A+ troll lol. Lots of subtle things are done really well (Kobe directly above TD, Lebron not top 10 and sandwiched between Havelcheck and Isiah, no #8). Good job.

I'm knocking Lebron because he left a team, in the prime of his career, and went to another team that was already very good. Keep in mind I'm only knocking him out of the top 6/7 because of that.

MJ and Scottie were both drafted by the Bulls. Kobe by the Lakers. Shaq takes a little hit because he did go to Miami to win his 4th but he has 4. lebron only 2

Why would you knock a guy for leaving a team? He doesn't become a worse player for leaving for a better team does he? Who cares if they were drafted or traded?
