Nobody is trying to take it over the corner, everybody is trying to draw it around the corner with the shape of the hole. Tiger just happened to hit a nasty shrimp with a 3-wood that was so far left so quick it would have clattered into trouble 100 yards off the tee on most any hole.

His good shots are still very good, just like any other player on tour. His bad shots are very bad just like any other player on tour. Problem is, he's hitting way too many death shots throughout his entire bag.

I think he'll have some death shots in his arsenal every tournament, but can he make enough birdies to overcome them and contend? We'll see.

No idea if true but brandel said he was crushing in proximity from 200+ yards at 37 feet compared to tour average of 52. Maybe he can lay up to 200 on part 4s.

It was clearly a backwards move from how he played at the Masters. But I'm not going so far as to say it was a disaster by any means. He played 5 bad holes this week and 67 decent ones. *shrug*

Tiger used to be way better than the Tour average at everything besides things that involved a driver but his mid/long iron play might be his biggest advantage in any one area. It doesn't come into play as much as putting but Tiger from 190-200 out even from light rough is often an advantage for him even compared to another top 20 golfer who has 180 out from the fairway. He's absurd with mid/long irons when he's on.

Surely the GOAT who is making a ton of birdies and better than Dustin and SPEEF and others in The Players and only needs to eliminate 5 bad holes a tournament can win. And he'll play several more than 8 if he is able to keep improving.

But tbh, it's a little tired that everyone wants to say everything is fine when no one even thinks he's more likely than not to win a single event this year. His game is a mess by his standards, and he's got a lot of work to do, not just a little.

He's got 6 guaranteed tournaments left this year. If he has a good summer he will probably get into Firestone for 7 and a couple playoff events. He has a max of 10 events left this year.

There are maybe 3 guys on the planet who are even money to win 1 of their next 8 to 10 events.

I haven't seen anyone say "everything is fine", certainly there are things for him to work on but no doubt he is heading in the right direction thus "he will be fine".

I'll take 4.5 to 1 on Tiger winning by end of year (excluding Hero World Challenge)

For what it's worth, Tiger is +450 at actual online sports books right now to win a MAJOR this year. LOL at trying to freeroll for another 6-7 tournaments.

More importantly, his game is ****ed and it sucks to admit.

What would you call the math where you say he is not "close" to a win, then offer a bet at terrible odds where he actually has to win the tournament? Maybe you could define what you mean by "close" to a win and offer a bet at odds which are not laughable, rather than continue to spew nonsense.

The only book I can find odds on right now after a quick phone search is Bovada

0 majors: -1600
Exactly 1 major: +500

So I'm offering -450 to you with realistically 3 to 5 additional tournaments thrown in.

Was -500 to win 0 majors in Vegas before the Players, where he looked so good if you exclude a mere 5 holes.
