If Tiger is back on the PGA tour, it's not 'the greatest comeback of all time' as sportscasters have been heard saying, it's more likely that the severity of his injuries was just massively exaggerated.

Looks like the Cat is in. Said on his press conference that as of now, he's playing.

On the one hand I'd say it would be an accomplishment to even make the cut. But on the other hand, Tiger has a pattern of over-delivering.

Gotta say this, his leg injuries don't look like they impacted his upper body weight room sessions. Looks jacked.

Most likely scenario is that Tiger plays but each round he plays worse, especially the last 4-5 holes of every round. People aren't factoring in how hilly Augusta is.

Truth. There is a lot more elevation change than you would think from watching it on TV.

Will be interested to see also how rusty Tiger is mentally - even the greatest players in the world can take time to get up to speed and with zero tournament play beforehand (no, not counting the hit and giggle for that) I don't expect him to be incredibly sharp.

I feel his comeback strategy is 100% catered to this exact moment. I agree about the putting.

I've always wondered how much of the "competitive" nature of tournament golf is replicated by these pros playing each other for large sums of money on the reg and the pressure associated with that.

I can't bet against Tiger - I already have a sizeable amount on him this weekend. My previous post was an emotional hedge but I've been on team Tiger through every comeback and won't stop now.
