TMZ is the nut low. They are only interested in being first. They don’t care about being right. They rewrite their articles continually with new info and pretend they didn’t just make stuff up.
LA Times is reporting that Tiger suffered two leg fractures, one of which was a compound fracture, and a shattered ankle. The compound fracture would explain the need for quick surgery.
I'm sure it depends on how serious the fractures were, but this sounds like a long rehab.
Well Hogan barely survived a head-on collision with a Greyhound bus, doctors thought he may never walk again, came back to win a bunch more times in spite of lifelong mobility issues.
Of course he was 36 at the time, not 45. And given Tiger's ongoing back problems he may just say time to focus on being a businessman and philanthropist, which would not be a bad thing.
Some people just like to drive themselves. If I was had his bank account I would probably have a driver for any stuff like PR obligations but would drive myself around as well, especially since I would have a bunch of fun cars.
Reporting has said shattered ankle. Using my February one time on right ankle being the one and no Alex Smith compound fracture drama.
Maybe the leg and ankle injuries prevent him from not letting his back heal so he eventually comes back in good shape? I'm reaching as far as I can here to find a half-full glass...

Has TMZ still got that host that drinks smoothies the whole time?
Id wager Tiger finishes top 10 in a major again at some point in his life
He may never walk properly again, I highly doubt he has much chance of any golf success from here on. Between his age, his back and now this, I think his career is finished. He has much bigger worries now.
Why did he crash his car? They said he wasn't under the influence of drugs. There were no other cars involved in the crash. Weather was fine. He was speeding and he randomly swerved off the road and hit some trees. They say there were no signs of skid marks so maybe he was distracted on his cell phone or something?
I just find it odd, especially with his history of drug use and automobile crashes, that the police insta-declared it a complete accident.
Even tho officials keep saying he wasn't under the influence and I saw another say he won't be charged with the accident, etc. Doesn't tox screen/blood test take several days to get results on?
the answers to the questions previously asked can be easily found by searching reputable sources.
here's a suggestion: don't rely upon responses in this thread as accurate current news
That article and another I am reading says they did not take tests at the scene. But that doesn't mean the hospital didn't, if they did it could take 4-6 weeks for results.
Well it was a windy road and he was speeding, so I see no reason to jump to any conclusions about him being under the influence. Completely sober people drive bad and wrap their cars around a tree on a daily basis.
Joe Giacalone, a professor at the John Jay College of Criminal Justice and a retired New York police sergeant, said it was “premature” for Villanueva to determine the crash was an accident just a day later.
“The blood test could give us a whole other insight,” Giacalone said, noting that some drugs are not necessarily detectable by observation. “Because it’s Tiger Woods, people are going to demand answers. You have to dot your I’s and cross your T’s.”
Peppard said in typical cases with no immediate indications the driver was impaired, detectives might not seek blood samples if the crash did not injure anyone else or damage property.
