Have you read the form? That's not all it is.

But Craig James being a tool is not independent of Adam James being a tool. But hey, someone was able to convince people that mortgage backed securities were all independently valued, and that it was a safe investment by using the same logic. Plus, your percentages are way off.

OK DesertCat, the moving truck I ordered should be pulling up to your place any minute. All you gotta do is put all your crap in there and off you go.

I dunno. His past history of assumptions is pretty sweet. Ian Kennedy could be a #2. If he played for the Cubs, he could be the "ace".

Can you summarize his position? I'm not reading the word bombs.

By not signing the letter, Leach dug his own grave.

Yeah it was mostly just that it was big compared to what reports were that TTU wanted to pay him. He made some power plays in the media and with the fan base to exert some pressure, and eventually they caved at sort of the last minute and gave him what he wanted.

But yeah its not like he is the highest paid coach or anything. I probably contributed to this impression by saying "soulcrushed" etc but I just meant that he outplayed them.

That part is probably true.

The parts of his argument that are dumb are:
A) That not signing the letter is very strong evidence that he will be found to have been fired "for cause"

and

B) That the university would never fire a popular coach right after giving him a new contract without being certain that they are in the right and will prevail in the ensuing controversy.

A lot of the conversation with DC is kind of different now that we have the second testimony from the trainers.

When we began the argument, the only testimony we had from them was on Leaches side, which made his argument make less sense.

Although I still totally disagree with him over the signing of the letter.

Yes, its probably true. When unreasonable people are in positions of authority over you, and ask you to do unreasonable things, its often true that you have to do them or lose your job.

Not sure why DC thinks this is some important point, though. I think we all agree that some spittle-licking and grovelling could have saved his job in the short run.

Bad summary IMO. I agree with the above but DC's position is significantly more than that.

Are they really different? Or just did each side just release parts that were favorable to their side? Maybe the trainer just answered questions that were framed differently from each side.

And "Lock his ****ing pussy ass in a place so dark he can't see his own dick." and "He wanted him to be uncomfortable" is not going to go well.

Fair enough. It feels like that's his main point, so that's why I took that route.

Anyone else want to 'cliffs' DesertCat?

Impossible to tell really. I think it's clear now that Leaches lawyers definitely slanted some things his way, but we have no idea how much. There is a quote out there somewhere from Pincock where he tells of when Leach told him to take James to a place that wouldn't hurt his eyes. He seemed to conveniently leave out the expletives and stuff, which does seem odd, but I'm on the way out of the house and couldn't find it.

Finally having the raw source is nice.

The expletives could easily be left out by ESPN or whoever is reporting it because you can't say pussy on air or whatever.

Not as funny as the pirates thing, but still fairly hilarious imo.

You guys are buying these affidavits?

You don't think this administration is capable of a 'sign this or you're fired'?

Look at the dates for pete's sake! JAN 1 2010!

There's nothing in the affidavits about who these 'statements' were given to! Or when!

It's just way too convenient for these 'affidavits' to show up after all the backlash of the firing was felt. I smell a rat.

The biggest thing that jumps out at me about the trainer's affidavit is that it's clear that he thinks Leach is punishing James, and it's not because of the attire problem. If the trainer gets up in front of a judge and testifies like he did in the affidavit, Leach is ****ed in a PC era.
