Either he made his ruling never having seen the tape, which is dumb.

Or he made it having seen the tape, which is even dumber because obviously it's going to come out at some point.

That's what I want to know. Because I can't think of anything that would illicit such a response. Even if she was ****ing the entire Ravens football team, it wouldn't justify that attack.

I think we were led to believe that Janay had a role in building this up which made Rice seem less to blame for the incident. Now that we've seen it for ourselves, it's pretty clear that Rice lied to the NFL and that the NFL did not do their due diligence in investigating the matter further either because they didn't want to find out the truth for themselves or because they blindly trusted Rice. In either situation, the NFL looks like ****.
