I quit with a couple paragraphs left because if I wanted to read all caps I'd go on worldstar. But I read enough to get the gist. The very things he rightfully credits TD for is exactly why the finale fell flat, but in the entire piece he leaves the actual contents of the finale largely unexplored and just tears down the strawman he built instead.

Rembert got a podcast!

what took so long? I'm actually shocked Simmons hasn't gotten him a tv show or 2 by now.

Matt Hinton's column about Stanford football today really goes out of its way to avoid saying "Hey, maybe David Shaw sucks"

And Shaw does really suck.

Great to have Lorne on there, but agree that this would have been better elsewhere. Simmons desperately wanted Lorne to start ranking SNL cast members, he could barely bite his tongue.

Actually wouldve loved LeBatard in that spot, great interviewer if he wants to be.

Yeah I haven't listened to Lorne yet because simba just sucks at interviewing people bigger than him. I'm sure he told lorne multiple cast members that Lorne loved. "You loved Will."

After the podcast the only thing that I came away with is that I can't believe Lorne actually talks the way he does (exactly like Dr. Evil). It's just ****ing... weird.

Well, Dr. Evil is supposedly a Lorne Michaels impression (that some say Mike Myers stole from Dana Carvey).

That's common knowledge, I just had never heard his voice before and was surprised at the extent of it (there seems to be little exaggeration in the impersonation).

Now, I am not 100% sure since this is mainly an American thing, but is the creationism/anti evolution mainly right wing because it's religious, or is is just something idiots say and they just happen to be mainly right wing?

Sorry for the slight politard here but just curious.

I suspect the correlation between creationism and fundies is close to 1.

Pretty sure the best answer here is "yes".

But also because it kinda hinges on how you define "right wing". That tends to be applied more based on social conservatism than financial. It's really hard to not just flatly say "You've gotta be a ****ing idiot to be a social conservative" and it's really hard to find a social conservative who isn't being fed chapter and verse.

god this. The interview would have been really interesting if simmons would have just shut the **** up and let the dude talk instead of constantly trying to get him to agree to his "JOHN BELUSHI WAS THE LEBRON JAMES OF COMEDY RIGHT????" theories. BEST DRAFT CLASS EVER? TOP FIVE CAST MEMBERS GO. OMG STFU.
