Did anybody watch the Laettner 30 for 30 and find themselves unable to get over how much dude sounds like Simmons?

Saw the first 30 or so of that, the narration (and the choice of Rob Lowe to do it) is pretty lolbad, but the rest seemed great.

I didn't get her either. She wants more women involved in sports, she has a platform to do so, and (maybe this is BS's fault) she had very little to say about sports.
A lot like "we need to have a discussion about race" political commentator who just wants to be a hero and never really says anything.
Good for her standing up to Goddell tho.

Lowe narrated the PBS 6-part doc about the 80's and stands out as an emblem of that time that translates into this one (look at the career arcs of the rest of that group...Emilio, Judd, Charlie (lol) etc)....may be why he was chosen. I thought he was fine.

The part I saw was heavy on the "black culture was becoming popular" stuff, and it sounded really weird coming from Lowe. Rob Lowe doesn't really resonate as credible when it comes to talking about stuff like that.

But mostly i just throught the narration I heard was pretty painfully written and given how great the rest of it was I was always bummed when it showed up.

I read this as Zach Lowe, which was both confusing and amusing.

4gb ram for the Lowe articles isn't cutting it, some people get a new setup to play CoD4, I think I'm going all out so I can play gifs and scroll down in peace.

Walton was so ****ing insane during the Pac12 tournament. I've been listening to this great old school wrestling podcast (OSW Review) and he totally reminds me of a walking talking Macho Man promo.

Nice.

Rusillo reversed it on him in the latest pod, and I gotta assume it was an intentional dig that Simmons didn't realize. "You love Schroeder."

Also I thought Steven A was pretty good on the pod. They had decent chemistry.

Also, never understood his obsession with using Isiah as his gold standard of "pure" PG play. The dude chucked quite a bit, at a slight higher rate than Paul, Nash, Stockton, etc. Probably because after years of ragging on the guy, he told him THE SECRET to basketball at a pool and now he rates the dude about 30 spots higher than he should on his all time list.

The two things that most make me feel like I'm getting old and out of touch because I don't ~get them are snapchat and rembert brown.

yeah, ouch

not a great sign when your 1st ep, one that you've presumably spent a bunch of time preparing one, isn't very good at all

even Carolla couldn't save it

I watched a bit last night. It's like a really bad episode of talk soup.

It's her first ep though. It might turn out OK. But stretching her very good youtube spots to 30 mins is a big ask.

He's obsessed with IT2 on the Celts now too. "Layups and threes!!!!!!" Just loves the whole Thomas family now.

Died laughing when Russillo told him he loved Schreoder too.

Just watched it on youtube. Probably my favorite 30 for 30 doc. But it is in my wheelhouse, age-wise. I am lolold.

The Lowe narration did not bother me. I wasn't surprised he agreed to it--he seems to be a big fan of Coach K and Duke. Appears on K's radio show, etc.
