Today I graduated from college, with a bachelor of science in nursing. At 33.

I wandered in the post-poker wilderness for quite a while, not sure of much of anything. Just goes to show if you're unhappy with where you are in life, it's never too late to go back to school or start over in something you want to do.

Well done. I have been considering a career/life change recently, so I'm glad to see someone pursue it successfully. Good luck

Fireworks - even before the wonder of the internet raised the bar for being entertained, I never understood the appeal of watching **** blow up in a fancy pattern in the sky. Seems boring. I don't mean personal fireworks like bottle rockets or roman candles, those are lots of fun to shoot at people and things.

Parades - let's go stake out a place on a curb and hang out for awhile, and some time later people are going to roll by at idle speed in a costume of some sort on a float. Uhhhhhh???

Mock drafts - I still don't know if the purpose of mock drafts is to predict who teams are going to pick, or to predict who teams should pick based off of need, best player available, etc. I'd rather hear about someone's fantasy team than their mock draft, because at least fantasy involves actual games and real, measurable outcomes.

Camping - pack and haul a bunch of stuff out into the middle of nowhere, then spend time unpacking it...all for the privilege of being attacked by bugs and possibly mauled by bears while being far less comfortable than at home. Then when that's done pack it all back up and schlep home to put it all away. Yet this is a leisure activity thoroughly enjoyed by tens of millions of people. If the pioneers had the option of staying at a Hampton Inn I assume all the covered wagons would be in the parking lot at night.
Still waiting for any defense of "Mock drafts".

Parades suck ass and belong in a WOAT list

Mock drafts are offseason methadone so they serve SOME purpose

Actually the more I think about it I’m on tuq’s side re: camping

And I’ll add another to the list

Hiking
With the limited time available why waste it going on a low budget cardio workout with no real gains? Cool I walked in poison oak. Great look at all these bug bites. Oh neat we can’t cross because there’s a rattlesnake. And what’s the pay off exactly? A view you can GIS from home. And even more baffling is that people are hiking on first dates now? Wtf beta millennial **** is that? I just went out with someone on Thursday who told me her last first date was a 4 hour hike that ended in a sweaty hug. Our first date was us sitting on a beach drinking wine then we ****ed in her car and I went home and watched vice principals on ondemand before I passed out on the couch.

Sick brag

Even worse is the combining hiking with drinking the most obscure craft beer you can find, culminating in a selfie/snap of the beer just opened with the background of whatever dumb place they just hiked

Like wtf you carry one beer so you can drink it warm on Mt. ****yiu

Hiking is great. MOTHER EARTH GOAT. Obviously a terrible choice for a first date though.
