True, much better than lobster.

Mackerel is a highly underrated sushi/sashimi fish.

Shrimp/scallop/crab all about equally delicious to me, lobster is up there too but never seems worth the cost.

Never was big into mussels or clams. Can demolish several dozen raw oysters at a time though.

Ok here's a question

How much money would you need to move to Idaho/Wyoming/Nebraska (whatever non-Alaska 50th place state is iyo) if the catch is that you can never leave that state except for a single annual 1 week vacation and visiting family on holiday weekends/visiting dying friends/family, etc.

So you're asking basically about central/northern Mississippi. **** man, that would take a lot.

I feel like Idaho and Wyoming don't belong on that list but Nebraska, Kansas, and the Dakotas have to be the worst.

Like ok, you buy some huge ass house (probably more like a compound if you're in one of these **** states) and then what? What can you possibly spend money on except your yearly vacation? Buying fast cars or whatever will get old pretty fast. And unlikely you end up with a boat in your 50th state too because lollandlocked

SE Idaho is basically Oregon/Washington - outside of pot.

Boise is like the 4th largest NW city.

Whole state is gorgeous though, thought FACK liked mountain beauty.

Whatever amount it costs to actually buy like 2,500 square miles, develop a real city that can comfortably hold like 5mm people, and then subsidize the cost of living in a way such that people want to live in in that city while also enticing businesses to come because their employees will live for cheap and neither side will pay city taxes for a few decades because it will be funded from my windfall. I assume this is somewhere in the neighborhood of maybe $5-10T, but I could be way off.

Basically, I'd need to be able to create Dubai but with twice as many people so probably 4x whatever that cost (because I assume my labor is gonna be more expensive).

Yeah, that's all that matters. Tilapia is the WOAT. Awful, awful fish.

Anyone hating on lobster probably hasn't been to Maine and gotten fresh lobster for like $8 a pound.

Never been but I hear Omaha's a reasonably cool city. I'd at least consider moving there if I were offered a job there that paid well.

To actually live in some bum**** meth-addled small town out in western Nebraska 51 weeks out of the year, man, not sure there's any amount.

5 million to do Wyoming/Idaho/Montana doesn't sound too bad if I can leave for 1 weeklong vacation and all holiday weekends every year. Pretty good sized states with awesome scenery. And I think being able to leave that much would add enough spice to make it palatable to live in your gigantic mansion.

the worst state would be like Nebraska or Arkansas or Mississippi or something. That one is pretty tough. Whatever is enough for like a gigantic ranch where I can move in all my friends and make it some kind of destination with tons of cabins/houses, entertainment complexes etc. Like CDL's idea except on a way smaller scale. Not sure how much that would be, several billion?

I'd take 20 million, then use ~10mil of it to bribe congress into legally changing the definition of one week to 365 days.

How is Mississippi not the unanimous worst state? It consistently ranks the worst or one of the worst states in negative metrics. It's also the poorest state.
