Unpopular opinion: I think 90% of Charleston is a ****ing ****hole (ok this part is probably not unpopular) and the rest is touristy claptrap/insufferable locals/vacationing euros and downtown is flood prone an reeks of horse****.

If you're taking the kids then definitely do the aquarium and Fort Sumter. After that, go to the beach I guess? If it was just you and the misses I'd say golf/shop during the day and fine dining and bars at night.

Well we are staying at Kiawah but wife wants to be touristy.

Well you have to carve out some time to play the Ocean Course then, f the wife and kids. It was closed a couple of weeks ago for aeration so it should be in fantastic shape.

Plus downtown Charleston is ~1 hr from Kiawah so driving there every day to do touristy stuff isn't really feasible. Go to the aquarium one day, go to Fort Sumter one day, other days beach/pool golf.

Didn't someone in here say that Charleston has the hottest girls in 'Murrica? Provide proof of that I say.

I mean, Ashley area is really nice. Downtown Charleston is awesome. North Charleston is a cesspool, no doubt. But its basically an entirely different city. Mt. Pleasant is an incredibly nice area. I'm guessing you just hung around North Charleston in the **** when you were there? Cause Summerville and Goose Creek are also both nice.

I think I once said it has the hottest chicks on the east coast. And I will continue to stand by it. Charleston tends to be a very young city. I think the median age is like 27. Just take a trip in late May-early June. Go to King street. Walk for about a block and you'll have solid fap material for a year.

I'm not doubting the hotness of the girls there at all. CoC is back in and the weather is still nice so the viewing should be spectacular.

On the one hand, it's not in any way shocking that Phildo was the one to author this one, but on the other, it's really damn funny.

New orleans has a ton of hot girls as well, tons of transplants and Tulane grads that stayed. You can pretty much pick your type by neighborhood too.

Having have spent a weird amount of time in a number of the major southern "cities," I would rank them in terms of places I personally would want to live:

1. Charleston
2. Savannah
3. Asheville

After that its a mix of like Clearwater, Myrtle Beach, Wilmington. For me being near the water is huge, so Asheville is the only odd one in there. I've never been to New Orleans or Miami. From where I've traversed the Macon/Atlanta area has got to be near the bottom of places in this country I'd even consider moving too. Might work for those that are there, I personally couldn't stand it.
