Sure, whatever, maybe it's not technically trolling. Name a single user of any forum who consistently derailed discussion, was universally disliked for doing so but later the problem was solved by everyone ignoring them.

Just give us a mod who particpates.

Both zaid and dasboot have a handle on this, all it needs is for someone to step in now and then and would be preferable and probably more agreeable to most regs if that was someone who interacts with us on a regulars basis.

i just sorta feel like there's some kind of difference between people who are intentionally trolling (like say Not Lolo), and people who annoy while posting in good faith

two of the squeakier wheels have already said that i probably shouldn't even ban them, but i need to be around to babysit when they're off their meds (and ppl engage them)

Modding = "being around to babysit" is exactly why people want a mod who isn't you around the soccer threads. You're snarky, glib, defensive, and perfunctory in every soccer modding interaction I've seen you have. It's clear you don't particularly care about the soccer discussion or community here -- which is fine, it just makes you (very) poorly suited to this particular task.
