2. "Uncle Bob's Favorite Roast Beef" or the roast beef sandwich?

This is assuming when there is no other sandwich using pastrami or roast beef on the menu. Basically places that give special names to their items that aren't necessary.
I try to 'speak their language'. I may be your customer, but for me to get the best results out of you I have to come to your level.

Any of y'all ever drink a beer or two before working out? How bad of an idea is it

Workout first. Use promise of post-workout beer as motivation. Profit.

I don't work out but I do drink beer. Can't say I've ever regretted having just one or two so I'd go for it.

This is where I pretend I'm super old and just order things by their normal name. I'm not sure why places try to embarrass their customers for ordering their food.

Someone should make one of those t-shirts that every artist has when they go on tour for the Monsters of Megaphone 1929 Tour.

I used to order based on what I normally say but I noticed based on the reaction from the people taking my order it is a minority position, and am considering changing to the restaurant name. Even tho I find it stupid and embarrassing to say

Pretty sure I just say "medium drink" instead of explaining that I am going to attempt to make an arnold palmer at their little stand, but failing that will improvise.

Did you tell him to "have a seat over there"? and ask him "so, what are you doing here?"?
