Their travel discounts are very significant. There are definite upsides to the job.
also massive life advancement opportunities if they can bag a pilot or businessman

so the official death toll in the tornado went from 94 to 24 overnight? is this just them being cautious or was there really a significant reduction? i certainly hope the latter, but fear that it's just gonna go back up again.

well, people can't undie so you have to assume its just bad reporting like every other news story that involved >10 people dying in the past 3 years.

As a kid, tornadoes scared me the most of any natural disaster. They still do, although they are pretty rare in my area. Something that can just hit in an instant with such violent force and no warning.

I watched a show on Discovery (or maybe it was the Weather Channel) the other day: "Could it happen here?" They were discussing how it's certainly possible that an F4 tornado could touch down in the middle of DC and how incredibly deadly and destructive it would be.

Stacked bro' supplement update:

I had started taking creatine at the beginning of my new health kick, and thought it pretty meh. Saturday did my first real squat/leg workout without it. I will immediately be buying more creatine to prevent prolonged soreness after strenuous exercise.

I do a stupidly efficient workout of squat tabata (8 x 6 with 10 second rests between), box jumping, lunge tabatas, jumprope. In slightly over 10 minutes total.

Cliffs: old man likes creatine

Leaving for nola in 24 hours for a week. Taking the wife, doing some house hunting, going to spend way too much on food and drink. Anything I have to do?

I guess I don't really see Oklahoma as part of the midwest. That's the south to me.

Midwest is minnesota to iowa, across to Ohio, up to michigan, then back to minnesota.

To me at least.

Midwest is pretty ambiguous imo. I take "midwest" to be a very inclusive term, more split into the "Great Lakes-ish" region and the "Great Plains-ish" region, but anywhere Pittsburgh and west, and north of the Arkansas/Texas/Kentucky borders, and east of the Rockies could be considered part of the Midwest.

Optimum Nutrition micronized creatine powder, based almost exclusively on esteem for their protein powder and availability in a smallish $10 container.

There are probably others more recommended, but they all seemed to have other stuff going on as well, and I am taking a lot of supplements right now (wife is comforted by me taking same pills as her) so seemed worth a shot.

oklahoma was not a slave state, and so it is not culturally the south to me - the south is east of the texas/louisiana border. if you want to make its own distinction as a great plains state and call everything east of the rockies and west of st. louis that, fine, but i don't think it's the south.
