Just thought of a good potential angle shoot on the basement thing. The "unlimited drugs" thing doesn't say it's recreational drugs only. If you had the drugs, the library/study, and the Mayo Clinic medical staff, I wonder if you could find a way to put yourself into a medically induced coma until the 10 years was up and just have the medical staff take care of you while you wait.
