Hey guys,

I had to finally euthanize my older cat today. It was time; she collapsed, hyperventilating, shortly following the QPR match vs Southampton. I thought it was just her response to Mark Hughes as a manager, but unfortunately it was more serious.

I rushed her to the pet hospital. She was on oxygen for a while and I hoped she would have been able to recover, in order to spend some time in home. But it was clear she couldn't breathe without it and in a lot of pain. Euthanasia seemed right.

Have been pretty distraught, but I appreciate everyone's well-wishes when I posted about her a ~month+ ago.

I'm having a hard time imagining anything that could be worse than listening to Hockey on the radio. Just above the "listen to nails on a chalkboard for 3 hours in a row" tier.

hockey is real bad on the radio imo, but if the broadcaster has a good voice it can be okay i guess. but it's impossible to tell what's going on really. basketball has the same issue - the ball just moves too fast and the action is hard to describe.

i always found it entertaining when the announcers on the radio would go "and the bulls are going left to right" blah blah what the **** does that mean? I dont know where the announcers are sitting!!! go **** yer mother

T36: your rankings are prob correct, but hockey has kinda always worked ok for me on the radio, prob a cultural / learned thing tho...

like i think you're right about it being right there with basketball, but i'd never listen to a basketball game on the radio unless it was like Game 7 of the NBA Finals and i was driving somewhere and had no other choice
