Yeah, and he's competitive enough about it that he researches topics like mythology that regularly come up in bar trivia that he otherwise wouldn't give a crap about.

Anyway, great to hear about your cat. Thanks for the update. Weird about the age though. Is she Dominican?

Also, is the bald spot on the right front leg part of the recent treatment?

what, to golf?

i don't 'have money' in that i'm definitely not rich. i'm a ****ing teacher, and my wife is a teacher.

kinda curious what you mean. like i'm too dumb to have money to go golfing 3-4 times a week?

Re: SE FAQ, Liveblog and Forum Discussion

do i know you? haha, that's funny you know that about me but i can't for the life of me recognize your name.

i do get prescribed ambien, but i don't think i've taken one in 3-4 weeks. anymore it gives me like an ambien hangover the next day where i'm groggy and tired. i just use the cheap sleeping pills with 50mg of whatever that ingrediant is that makes you sleep.

and yeah, i already took two. i'll get enough sleep to go tomorrow, thanks for your interest. haha

is that how he meant it? i'm honestly confused as to what the **** he's talking about. is it because i'm too dumb to have money? or that i golf a lot and he's wondering how i have enough money to do that?

Re: SE FAQ, Liveblog and Forum Discussion

ambien is alright I was on it a few years in my life, I liked it because it didn't give me a hangover AT ALL..I have found nothing else that doesn't give me that crappy hangover feeling. But its bad in the sense that its addictive and gives you a little bit of a high when you take it (and a little bit more of a high when you take one more..and one more..and one more) and don't fall asleep right away. I can only imagine how it feels for the target demographic which is probably older people....they are probably so **** confused about whats going on. Its clearly beneficial to have something that can basically guarantee sleep on nights you need it (big presentation or whatever) but its no good if you have abusive tendencies

i'm sure most people don't...but if you have ever been addicted to any other pill, be it benzo or painkiller or whatever you know what i mean

My wife has narcolepsy btw, and she tried ambien. She couldn't sleep at all after taking it. Really lucid scary dreams too.

When she is having an attack or whatever, does she know that she has X amount of time before she will need to be somewhere where she can sleep? Or does it not work like that?

Re: SE FAQ, Liveblog and Forum Discussion

Doesn't work like that. The people who fall asleep in the middle of stuff have cataplexy. Without her meds, she can fall asleep and get into REM (dream) sleep in <5 min. However, at night, she can't stay asleep and is the lightest sleeper you can really imagine. If she has stuff to do in the morning, or isn't feeling well or w/e, I get the guest bed.
